Dawn Newman to give presentation at the Capital Home & Garden Show
Friday, February 26, 2010, 12pm-1pm, Dulles Expo South Hall Stage
Designers Network will teach homeowners how to choose the right designer for their project and budget. The presentation will cover the basics of what to look for in a designer, style, personality, how designers charge, areas of specialty, how to look at a designer's portfolio, and what questions to ask your prospective designer. Designers Network will also have a number of its designers on hand to answer your interior design questions.

Designers Network launches ......

Luncheon: Designers Network hosted its first member networking luncheon on September 18. More than 35 interior designers, decorators, and service providers to the design industry attended the luncheon which was held in Bethesda, MD at Le Miche. The service provider division donated door prizes and other promotional items for the event's "swag" bags.

Designers Network exhibited at the MD Suburban Home Show September 12-14, along with several of our agency members, Decor and You, Interiors by Decorating Den and Eco-Nize Closets.

Thursday, October 2, 2008, WUSA Channel 9 @ 5:00pm: Design Scheme Interiors, LLC, Principals Sherry Ways and Susan Schemm will be featured on a segment entitled, "Design on A Dime" where they are shown redesigning a client's home in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Interviews with both Sherry Ways, Susan Schemm and the client, a single mother with two young girls, will be featured.

Friday, September 26, 2008: ASID awarded Lisa Tureson, President of Faux Creations, Inc. the Industry Partner of the year award for Distinguished Service to the Society and the Profession. Eco-nize Closets: "Going Green Without Spending the Green": Eco-nize Closets was referred by The Designer's Network to a client in the Annapolis bay area where the client wanted pricing for a new master closet addition. Eco-nize Closets were put up against two less expensive alternatives in the current marketplace. One was Schulte and the other was Closet Maid from Lowes. Not only was Eco-nize Closets able to provide superior products to look and feel but they were able to beat pricing from both competitors.
